Additional information

The biodegradability of L-alpha-methylbenzylamine (CAS 2627-86-3) was determined in two ready biodegradability test using domestic activated sludge.

Test results:

- BASF AG (1998), report no. 98/0321/26/1: OECD 301F (Manometric respirometry): 100% after 28 d; 70 to 80% after 28 d (corrected for nitrification)

- BASF AG (2003), report no. 0623/21/1: OECD 301A (DOC Die-Away): ca. 96% after 28 d

Based on both test results, the substance is readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
