Description of key information

The log Kow  value for the test substance is <3.0. The water solubility is relatively high. Adsorption / desorption testing was on these grounds

not conducted. Diisobutyryl peroxide will be present primarily in the water phase and will have a low affinity for organic material and suspended

matter and would therefore not be expected to associate with the sediment. Like wise the Log Kow of the main degradation product is lower still at

0.94 (Epiwin v4.1) indicating water as the critical compartment when assessing risk.
