Description of key information

Disobutryl peroxide has itself low bioaccumulation potential as indicated by a Log Kow of 2.6. In addition the worst case half-life for hydrolysis is 63 minutes.The main degradation product (isobutryic acid) also has a low predicted Log Kow of 1.0 (Epiwin) also demonstrating little or no accumulation potential. Furthermore isobutryic acid is naturally occurring and readily biodegradable. Bioaccumulation is therefore not considered possible.
