Additional information

Acute tests on all three trophic levels were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of the test substance. The L(E)C 50 values for fish, algae and daphnids exceeded the range of water solubility (<100 µg/L as determined in a water solubility study and about 1 µg/L as determined in an acute toxicity study on daphnids) of the tested item in all cases. The NOECs for the reproduction of algae and daphnids in a long term study was determined to be greater than the water solubility of the substance, too. The EC50 of the test compound on activated sludge was determined to be above 100 mg/L (nominal concentration). Thus, the compound is considered with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms in the range of water solubility.
