Description of key information

Abiotic hydrolysis is not relevant, because the substance is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Annex VIII, column 2 (9.2.2.1) of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, the testing for hydrolysis as a function of pH is not required as the substance is readily biodegradable. In addition, using the estimation program HYDROWIN v2.00, a half-life of 10.7 years at pH 7 and 1.1 years at pH 8 was calculated (Blum, 2012), indicating that indeed hydrolysis represents a negligible pathway for the environmental fate of this substance.
