Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Experimental data on the chronic toxicity of trimagnesium bis(orthophosphate) (CAS 7757-87-1) are not available. Trimagnesium bis(orthophosphate) is not acutely toxic to aquatic organisms based on data from chemical analogue tricalcium bis(orthophosphate) (CAS 7758-87-4) and has no potential to bioaccumulate in organisms. Therefore a long-term toxicity of the substance to fish is not anticipated. Trimagnesium bis(orthophosphate) is a naturally occurring molecule. In release to water the substance dissociates to phosphate species and magnesium ions. Both ions are ubiquitous in the environment and are essential micronutrients for organisms. Chronic toxicity is therefore not anticipated.
