Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

One reliable (Klimisch 1; Klimisch 2 when used for read-across) short-term toxicity study for fish was available for Alchisor CAL 123 with read-across to Alchisor CAL 145. The short-term toxicity of Alchisor CAL 123 to Daphnia magna was reported by Claude & Krueger (2010) in an OECD 202 guideline and GLP compliant study. Daphnia were exposed to toxicant in measured concentrations for 48 hours, resulting in a 48-hr LC50 of >100 mg/L.

Additional information

Alchisor CAL 145 comprises alkenes C13-14 hydroformylation products and read-across from the chemically-similar Alchisor CAL 123 has been used in this hazard assessment as defined in the `Read-Across Justification Document'. Short-term toxicity data to fish relating to Alchisor CAL 123 was available for read-across to this dossier. One reliable (Klimisch 1; Klimisch 2 when used for read-across) short-term study of Alchisor CAL 123 to Daphnia magna was reported by Claude & Krueger (2010) in an OECD 202 guideline and GLP compliant study. Daphnia were exposed to toxicant in measured concentrations for 48 hours, resulting in a 48-hr LC50 of >100 mg/L. This reliable study result is designated as Key for the short-term toxicity to invertebrates endpoint.
