Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
• After inhalation:
Remove from exposure site to fresh air and keep at rest. Obtain medical advice.
• After skin contact:
Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
• After eye contact:
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
• After swallowing:
Wash the mouth with water; seek medical advice immediately.
• Information for doctor:
Treat symptomatically and supportively.
Fire-fighting measures
• Suitable extinguishing agents:
CO2, foam, dry chemicals.
• For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents:
Do not use direct water jet on burning material.
• Protective equipment:
Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Accidental release measures
• Person-related safety precautions:
Use an individual protective equipment (waterproof boots, suitable protective clothing, safety glasses ).
Prevent any contact with hot surfaces. Do not approach facing the wind.
• Measures for environmental protection:
Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course.
• Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Contain spilled material. Cover with and inert, non-combustible, inorganic absorbent material, or sweep up and remove to an approved disposal container.
Handling and storage
• Handling:
• Information for safe handling:
Apply according to good manufacturing and industrial hygiene practices with proper ventilation.
Do not drink, eat or smoke while handling. Respect good personal hygiene.
• Information about fire - and explosion protection:
Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
• Storage:
• Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:
Store in tightly closed containers.
• Information about storage in one common storage facility:
Store away from incompatible materials.
• Further information about storage conditions:
Store in cool, dry and ventilated area away from heat sources and protected from light in tightly closed original container. Keep air contact to a minimum.

Exposure controls / personal protection
• Personal protective equipment:
• General protective and hygienic measures:
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
• Respiratory protection:
Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a full-face respirator with multipurpose combination (US) or type ABEK (EN 14387) respirator cartridges as a backup to engineering controls. If the respirator is the sole means of protection, use a full-face supplied air respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).
• Protection of hands:
Protective gloves
• Material of gloves
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
• Penetration time of glove material
The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
• Eye protection:
Tightly sealed goggles or Safety glasses
Stability and reactivity
• Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided:
No decomposition if used according to specifications.
Avoid contact with excessive heat, open flames or other sources of ignition.
• Materials to be avoided:
Avoid contact with strong acids, alkali or oxidizing agents.
• Dangerous reactions:
No dangerous reactions known.
• Dangerous decomposition products:
Carbon oxides.
Disposal considerations
• Product:
• Recommendation
Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company. Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material in accordance with local environmental laws. Avoid disposing into drainage systems into the environment.
• Uncleaned packaging:
• Recommendation:
Dispose of as unused product. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
