Description of key information

The test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline according OECD 201 using Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata has been conducted (DR.U.NOACK-LABORATORIEN 2015). Due to the low solubility of the test item a saturated solution has been prepared with a nominal loading rate of 100 mg/L and used in the limit test. No analytical evaluation of the saturated solution and the control was carried out since the water solubility is below the analytical limit of quantification.

Afer 72 h of exposure no effects up to the limit of solubility have been observed. The ErC10 and ErC50 are determined to be above 100 mg/L (loading rate). Therefore, the test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae.
