Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Short term fish

Key study: Read-across approach from experimental data on the analogue substance MPKO: Test method OECD Guideline 203, GLP study. The 96h LC50 value for rainbow trout was determined to be > 134 mg/L while the NOEC was 134 mg/L and the LOEC was >134 mg/L. Therefore, It can be concluded that the substance is not acutely toxic for fish.

Short term invertebrates

Key study: Read-across approach from experimental data on the analogue substance MPKO: Test method OECD Guideline 202, GLP study. The 48h EC50 (immobilisation) value for Daphnia magna was determined to be >134 mg/L, while the NOEC was >= 134 mg/L. Therefore, it can be concluded that the substance is not acutely toxic for invertebrates.

Short term algae

Key study: Read-across approach from experimental data on the analogue substance MPKO: Test method OECD Guideline 201, GLP study. The EbC50 (biomass) was determined to be 67 mg/L (95% CL: 63 -74 mg/L) and the ErC50 (growth rate) was 118 mg/L (95% CL: 96 -134 mg/L). The NOEC for both biomass and growth rate was 43 mg/L. Therefore, it can be concluded that the substance is not toxic for algae.

Toxicity to microorganisms

Key study: Read-across approach from experimental data on the analogue substance OS1600: Microbial toxicity was derived from an available ready biodegradation test performed with the analogue substance in accordance with OECD Guideline 301B (GLP study). Based on the read-across approach from the analogue substance OS1600 (NOEC = 21.5 mg/L), the NOEC for OS9600 was determined to be 25 mg/L for microorganism toxicity.
