Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Direct and indirect exposure of the test item CCPIB to soil is unlikely. The test substance is practically insoluble in water. In addition, low exposure is guaranteed, as no sludge application from STP on soil will be done and aerial deposition is negligible. Thus, toxicity to terrestrial organisms was considered not scientifically justified. In addition, based on the very high log Pow of 9.2 it is very unlikely that the substance passes biological membranes. In acute aquatic tests (all 3 trophic levels) no toxic results were observed at all. Thus, based on these tests and on physical / chemical parameters of the substance also no adverse effects on terrestrial organisms are expected.
