Based on the results of guideline study the melting point was determined to be 50.5°C (1006.4 hPa).

The melting/freezing point of Stearic acid, esters with methyl α-D-glucoside was determined according to OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range) and EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature) using the differential scanning calorimetry method.

Melting temperature: 50.5°C (1006.4 hPa), same melting point expected at 101325 Pa.
