Justification for classification or non-classification

The pH of water solutions containing 0.1 M and 1 M test substance were 1.3 and 0.6, respectively. Due to the corrosive nature of the test substance (pH ≤2), it is not likely to be a skin sensitiser therefore, no classification is required for skin sensitisation according to the EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
