Conclusion on classification

In the absence of ecotoxicity data for this substance data has been read across from a soluble rhenium compound, as is standard practice for the hazard and risk assessment of metals. The results of ecotoxicity testing with sodium rhenate have been read across and expressed as potasssium perrhenate. The lowest EC50 value expressed as potassium perrhenate is >105.9 mg/L. On the basis of this value potassium perrhenate would not be classified for the environment under DSD or CLP regulations.
