Visual inspection during guideline study
Qualifier:
no guideline required
Principles of method if other than guideline:
visual inspection at 20 °C and 1013 hPa
GLP compliance:
not specified
Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
liquid
Form:
other: gel - like
Substance type:
organic
Conclusions:
The physical condition of the test item at 20°C and 101,3 kPa is gel – like.
Executive summary:

The physical condition of the test item at 20°C and 101,3 kPa is gel – like.

Endpoint:
appearance / physical state / colour
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
no guideline required
Principles of method if other than guideline:
evidence during determination of density according to OECD 109
GLP compliance:
not specified
Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
liquid
Key result
Form:
viscous
Substance type:
organic
Conclusions:
The test item is a highly viscous liquid.
Executive summary:

In a study according to OECD 109, the test item proved to be a highly viscous liquid, partically soluble in water, and soluble in common organic solvents (Tetrahydrofuran, Toluene, i-Octan e.g.). Therefore methods for solids like hydrostatic balance or pycnometer could not be used for the determination of the relative density ( D204).
