Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water
Data waiving:

Justification for type of information:
As part of a Substance Evaluation (SEv) process, a Final Decision letter (DEC-SEV-264-848-5-1-1) was received for “Resin acids and Rosin acids, hydrogenated, esters with pentaerythritol” on 17 December 2020 requesting a ready biodegradation study (OECD 310) on a monoester-enriched fraction of this substance with additional requirements to analytically determine the primary degradation of the substance and identify any potentially persistent degradation products.
Supporting documentation has been provided that describes the proposal for meeting this information request; detailed reports of the method development and validation work on the failed GC-MS method; and the initial development of an analytical GPC method for HRPE monoesters.
