Additional information

Aquatic:

Fish: One study resulted in 96 h-LC50 of test substance on Zebrafish of greater than 0.1551 mg/L (Shao, 2014).

Daphnia: One study resulted in 48h-EC50 of exceeded 0.082 mg/L (Tobor-Kaplon, 2014).

Algae: One study resulted in 72h-EC50 of greater than 0.03 mg/L and NOEC of 0.03 mg/L (Tobor-Kaplon, 2014).

Microorganisms: One activated sludge respiration inhibition study resulted in 3 h-EC50 of above 1000 mg/L and NOEC of 1000 mg/L (Desmares-Koopmans, 2014).

Terrestrial:

Earthworm: One study on earthworm resulted in 14 d-LC50 value of greater than 1000 mg/kg dw (Gao, 2014).

Conclusion on classification

Data: poorly soluble substance (Oudhoff, 2015), no acutely toxicity effects at maximum dissolved concentration (saturation concentration) of test substance, and not rapidly degradable (Shu, 2014).

Therefore in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (as amended by Regulation (EC) No. 286/2011) Table 4.1.0, this substance should not be classified for acute (short-term) aquatic hazard and should be classified as chronic category 4 for "Safety net" classification.
