Description of key information

The particle size distribution of Corfree® M1 was measured by using CIPAC, Physico-Chemical Methods for Technical and Formulated Pesticides, MT 59: "Sieve Analysis", CIPAC Handbook Volume F, 1995 method. Analytical sieves had a diameter of 200 mm (Retsch GmbH, Haan, Germany). The sieves were equipped with separate receiver pan and lid. Sieve sizes: 100 µm, 180 µm, 250 µm, 500 µm and 2000 µm, nested from bottom to top on the receiver pan. The majority (75%) of Corfree® M1 flakes’ diameters were in the range 500 – 2000 µm.

Additional information

An amount of 223.1 g of Corfree®M1was placed on the top sieve. The nest of sieves was covered with a lid and mounted into the apparatus. The sieving time was 5 minutes. Thereafter, the sieves and the receiver pan were taken out carefully and accurately reweighed. The amount of material retained on the sieves and in the receiver pan was weighed to the nearest 0.1 g, and expressed as percentages of the sample to the nearest 0.1%. The majority (75%) of Corfree® M1 flakes’ diameters were in the range 500 – 2000 µm.
