Description of key information

In a 48 hour immobilisation test with Daphnia magna the EL50 (EC50) was determined to be > 10 mg (> 0.968 mg zinc ricinoleate/L. The NOEL and measured NOEC were > 10 mg and > 968.1 µg zinc ricinoleate/L, respectively. For testing the poorly water soluble test item a Water Accomodated Fraction (WAF) and dilutions were used.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

For testing the poorly water soluble test item a Water Accomodated Fraction (WAF) and dilutions with different concentrations of the test item were used. There was no effect > 50 % compared to controls up to the highest loading of 10 mg/L. Therefore, EL50 is estimated to be > 10 mg test item/L.
