Additional information

According to REACH Regulation (Annex IX, 9.3.2, column II), a test for bioaccumulation in aquatic species does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation.

Its rapid biotic degradation in water leads to negligibly low concentrations of Sucroglyceride C1218, C18unsatd. in the aquatic environment and thus to insignificant concentrations in aquatic organisms.

In connection with readily biodegradability of the substance, it can be concluded that Sucroglyceride C1218, C18unsatd. is supposed to be not biologically available in the aquatic compartment and it can be assumed that bioaccumulation in aquatic species is negligible.

In addition, in case of ester fission, Sucroglyceride C1218, C18unsatd. consisting of sucrose, glycerol and fatty acids is likely to be rapidly metabolised in organisms.
