Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VII, the test on partition coefficient n-octanol/water (required in REACh Regulation, Annex VII, section 7.8) does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. Cesium sulphate is an inorganic compound. The log Kow of the cesium sulphate was estimated to be 1.58. However, cesium sulphate is an inorganic salt and the value calculated with the program KOWWIN should be considered with caution. Due to the salt character of cesium sulphate and its good water solubility the log Pow is assumed to be < 0.
