Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

EC50(growth)= 23mg/Kg soil dw, 14 days, Lactuca sativa, Hulzebos 1993
EC50(growth)= 3.5 mg/L solution, 21 days, Lactuca sativa, Hulzebos 1993

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for terrestrial plants:
23 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

Hulzebos (1993) conducted a study to assess the toxicity potential of the test item towards lactuca sativa when exposed to the test item 14 days in soil or 21 days in nutrient solution. While the assay carried out in nutrient solution is of limited relevance given that an unsuitable substrate was used, the plant growth in soil treated with the test substance was measured following guidelines similar to OECD 208. The study is considered complete, adequate and reliable. The value EC50(growth)= 23mg/Kg soil dw is carried forward for risk assessment purposes.
