Additional information

Knie (1983) reported the LC50= 2.3 mg/L based on a study conducted on Leuciscus idus fishes which were exposed for 48 h to the test substance. No method description was provided and it is unclear whether the validity criteria have been fulfilled. Futhermore there is no data as to whether concentrations were determined analytically. However, the value is in good agreement with the other available data.

JME (2005) reported the LC50= 5.3 mg/L. Although details are lacking, the study was selected for classification purposes as it is more recent, and the duration of exposure was of 96 h as required for classification according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, 4.1.2.6.

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex XI, 1.2, the available data is considered adequate for the purposes of risk assessment and classification based on a weight of evidence.
