Description of key information

Onset of exotherm detected at 355 ºC (ΔH = -731 J/g), DSC, UN recommandation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Bailey 2013

Additional information

Bailey (2013) performed a study in compliance with UN recommandation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev 5, 2009. The thermal activity is measure via a DSC method and the onset of exotherm was detected at 355 ºC (ΔH = -731 J/g). The study is considered adequate and reliable for the purpose of risk assessment, classification and labelling. The heat of decomposition of the test item is less than 300 J/g, therefore the study indicates that the material tested is not classified for transport/supply as a self-reactive substance according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, 2.8.2.1.d.
