Additional information

The substance does not contain any functional groups identified in the UN recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, Appendix 6, Table A6.1, as being associated with explosive properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not considered explosive according to the criteria given in test method A14, Explosive Properties, in Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, as the substance does not contain functional groups associated with explosive properties. The available data are considered reliable and suitable for classification under 67/548/EEC, as amended for the 28th time in Directive 2001/59/EC, Annex VI, section 2, 2.2.1.

According to the additional criteria for classification 2.1.4.3(a), of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, Annex I, part 2, if the molecule does not contain functional groups associated with explosive properties, the substance shall not be classified. As a result, given the lack of functional groups indicating explosive properties, this substance does not meet the criteria for classification under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. The available data are considered reliable and suitable for classification.
