PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

It can be stated that the substance does not fulfil the PBT criteria (not PBT) and not the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).

Persistence:

The substance is not readily biodegradable. Assuming the worst case, the test substance is treated as ‘vP (and P)’

Bioaccumulation:

The substance has a log Kow of ≤ 4.5 and is therefore considered to be “not B/vB”.

Toxicity:

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as carcinogenic in Category 1A or 1B, mutagenic in Category 1A or 1B, reproduction in category 1A,1B or 2, or STOT RE in Category 1 or 2 according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008. But the lowest long-term aquatic toxicity (NOEC) value of the read-across substance zinc bis(diethyldithiocarbamate) (Cas no: 14324-55-1) is < 0.01 mg/L trigger value (21 d NOEC is 0.0032 mg/L for invertebrate). Thus, the substance is considered to be Toxic.
