Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental data are available for the assessment of the chronic toxicity of the substance to aquatic invertebrates.

Therefore, the chronic toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was investigated via the QSAR Toolbox v4.4 calculation model. The 21-d NOEC was determined to be 38 mg/L (BASF SE, 2021). The calculation was performed with the read-across analysis method and the substance was within the applicability domain of the calculation model.

Additionally, an ACR approach according to ECETOC (2003, Report no. 91) was performed to support these data, which results in a NOEC greater than 1 mg/L, based on the effect data of the acute toxicity study to aquatic invertebrates (BASF AG, 1987; report no. 1/1679/2/88).

Overall, it can be concluded, that long-term effects of 4-morpholinecarbaldehyde to aquatic invertebrates are not to be expected.
