Additional information

Short-term toxicity to fish

BASF SE 17/F0200/965034, 1998, OECD 203, GLP, Danio rerio, LC50 > 450 mg/L, analytically verified

Based on these data, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.

Long-term toxicity to fish

Waived according to Chemical Safety Assessment (no hazard, no PBT/vPvB) + fish not most sensitive organism

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

BASF AG, 1996, 96/0251/50/1, OECD 202, GLP, Daphnia magna, EC50 > 100 mg/L, analytically verified test concentrations.

Based on these data, the test substance is considered with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

BASF SE, 2022, QSAR Toolbox v4.5, trend analysis, substance within the applicability domain, Daphnia magna,  21 d NOEC = 128 mg/L.

Based on this result long-term effects on aquatic invertebrates are not expected.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Rohm and Haas, 2007, 06RC-262, OECD 201, GLP, Raphidocelis subcapitata, ErC50 = 313 mg/L, NOEC = 50 mg/L.

Based on these results the tested substance is considered as acutely not harmful to algae.

Toxicity to microorganisms

BASF AG, 1996 96/0251/08/1, OECD 209, GLP, Inoculum of laboratory wastewater plant which runs on domestic and synthetic sewage, EC20 > 1000 mg/L

Based on this result the inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.
