The half-life of the substance was found to be 102 h at 37 degrees celcius. (Lawley, P.D., & Searle, C.E. 1973)

The half-life of the substance was 28 hours at pH 7 (Norppa, H. et al., 1981)

In a 2 % solution of glycidol treated at 37 degree C for 30
min with hydrochloric acid of different concentration,
glycerol was found as major product. Additionally,
epichlorohydrin was formed:
