In accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable or highly insoluble in water. However, we have supplied some data in respect of this point.

The half-life of the substance was found to be 102 h at 37 degrees celcius. (Lawley, P.D., & Searle, C.E. 1973)

The half-life of the substance was 28 hours at pH 7 (Norppa, H. et al., 1981)

In a 2 % solution of glycidol treated at 37 degree C for 30
min with hydrochloric acid of different concentration,
glycerol was found as major product. Additionally,
epichlorohydrin was formed:
