Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Half life period of 4-nitro-o-xylene in water observed 38 days (half-life) while in sediment it is 340 days (half-life). Based on these half life values, it is concluded that 4-nitro-o-xylene is readily biodegradable in water where as it is not likely to biodegrade in sediment.
