Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The determination of the surface tension of an aqueous solution of the substance was based on the OECD Guideline No. 115: "Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions" (1995) and on the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.5 "Surface tension", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.

In conclusion, the surface tension of the substance in water (at a concentration of about 0.1 %) was determined to be

74.5 mN/m at 20.3°C ± 0.3°C.

Based on the criteria as outlined in the EEC Guideline, the substance is not a surface active substance.
