Description of key information

The LC50 value of diiodohydroxyquinoline for a 96 hour study on fish Oncorhynchus mykiss, a fresh water fish, was found to be 22.24685 mg/L. But the BCF value of diiodohydroxyquinoline reported was not >= 500 as well as the substance was found to be rapidly degradable. Thus considering the CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance , it is concluded that diiodohydroxyquinoline could not exhibit short term toxicity to fish

Key value for chemical safety assessment

LC50 for freshwater fish:
22.246 mg/L

Additional information

The LC50 value of diiodohydroxyquinoline for a 96 hour study on fish Oncorhynchus mykiss, a fresh water fish, was found to be 22.24685 mg/L. The LC50 values for other species of fish by the QSAR model as well as in the supporting study are presented below
