Description of key information
The solubility of potassium sorbate in methanol and p-xylene was performed in adaptation to EC method A.6 and OECD 105. The solubility of the test substance was determined in pure methanol and pure p-xylene at 10 °C, 20 °C and 30 °C.

Additional information
Potassium sorbate is slightly soluble in pure methanol (78.2-80.2 mg/L) and in pure p-xylene (30.2-30.8 mg/L). The solubility is independent of temperature in a range of 10 - 30 °C.
