Additional information

According to Annex VII of the REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), the study does not need to be conducted based on thermal behaviour of the substance.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition set out in the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), an explosive substance or mixture is a solid or liquid substance or mixture of substances which is in itself capable by chemical reaction of producing gas at such a temperature and pressure and at such a speed as to cause damage to the surroundings. Pyrotechnic substances are included even when they do not evolve gases.

Target substance is not classified as explosive substance because it has no chemical groups associated with explosive properties.
