Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is readily biodegradable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a CO2-Evolution Test according to OECD 301B the biodegradation was investigated [BASF SE, 2009]. After 28 days 70-80 % degradation of the substance was determined. Therefore, the pass level for ready biodegradability was reached. Otherwise the criterion of the 10-day time-window was failed. Degradation of mixtures are characterised by multiphase kinetics. Therefore, the 10 day time-window is disregarded for the evaluation of the readily biodegradability of mixtures and is not deemed necessary for assessing ready biodegradability. Thus, the substance can be considered as readily biodegradable.
