Description of key information

The acute toxicity study of DEGDN to four species of invertebrates was performed.
EC50 (48h) - water flea: 90.1 mg/L
EC50 (48h) - mayfly larva: 342.6 mg/L
EC50 (48h) - midge larva: 159.8 mg/L
EC50 (48h) - amphipod: 355.3 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates:
90.1 mg/L

Additional information

The invertebrate 48-h LC50s ranged from 90.1 to 355.3 mg/L, with the daphnia magna being most sensitive. The value EC50 (48h) for daphnia magna was used for C&L, no for Chemical Safety Assessment.
