Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

no
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Burning time:
2 min
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Remarks:
Burning rate not carried out as the test item showed no ignition.

Safety Pre-Test

A small amount of the test item was heated on a magnesia groove with a gas burner. Glowing was observed. The test item showed no signs of ignition.

Preliminary screening test

The test item was heated with the flame of a teclu burner. Glowing was observed during heating. No ignition occurred within two minutes.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
FAT 40062/C should be considered as not highly flammable.
Executive summary:

Flammability test with FAT 40062/C was carried out according to EU Method A.10. A mould made from aluminum sheets and 250mm long with a triangular cross section of 10 mm inner height and 20 mm width was used. In a safety pre-test, a small amount of the test item was heated on a magnesia groove with a gas burner in order to derive safety precautions. The test item was loosely filled into the mould. The mould was limited laterally by two metal plates. The mould was then dropped three times from a height of 2 cm onto a solid surface and then filled up again. The lateral limitations were removed and the excess substance was scraped off. The glass plate was placed on top of the mould, the apparatus was inverted and the mould removed. Since ignition did not occur within two minutes, the test item was classified as not highly flammable and no determination of burning rate was necessary.

The test item FAT 40062/C should be considered as not highly flammable.

Description of key information

Flammability test with FAT 40062/C was carried out according to EU Method A.10. Since ignition did not occur within two minutes, the test item was classified as not highly flammable and no determination of burning rate was necessary. The test item FAT 40062/C should be considered as not highly flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the Reactive Red 65 is considered to be not highly flammable, hence it does not warrant classification according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
