Executive summary:

The inherent biodegradability of FAT 21016/C was determined in a 21 days MITI (II) - Test according to the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals, No. 302C. This study was performed in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in Switzerland, Procedures and Principles, March 1986, issued by the Federal Department of the Interior and the Intercantonal Office for the Control of Medicaments, Switzerland.

The test substance was tested in a concentration of 30 mg/l. The reference substance (Natriumbenzoat) was tested in a concentration of 100 mg/l. The oxygen consumption was automatically measured by Voith Sapromat. The selected measuring range was X1, (250 ml testmedium per flask) . The oxygen consumption was given in milligrams O2 per liter.

Biodegradation after 21 days of the test substance of FAT 21016/C is 0 %

Biodegradation after 21 days of the reference substance is 72 %

Hence, FAT 21016/C is not biodegradable.
