Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
4 ccm of a 20% dilution of the test substance in Methylenchloride were sprayed in a 400 l room, in which 1 rabbit, 1 guinea pig , 2 rats and 4 mice were tested. After 1 hour the same amount of test substance was sprayed again. After 2 hours the animals were taken out of the testing room. This test was repeated on 5 consecutive days.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The animals reacted after the first spraying of test substance, a heavy mucosa irritation was observed together with difficulties in breathing. These syptoms intensified on day 2. On day 3 the guinea pig died, on day 4 one mouse died, an day 5 another mouse and one rat and 2 days after the end of the experiment the 2 other mice died. The rabbit died 7 days after the experiment and the 2 rats after 14 days.
