First-aid measures

In case of abnormal symptoms, consult a doctor

Inhalation : Remove subject to fresh air
Consult a doctor in case of breathing difficulties

Skin contact : Remove contaminated clothes and wash affected area with soap and water
Consult a doctor in case of irritation

Eye contact : Immediately flush eyes with water and continue rinsing eyes for at least 15 min
Consult an ophtalmologist

Ingestion : Do not induce drinking or vomiting.
Immediately transfer to hospital in a medicalized vehicle

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : CO2, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam
Note on Special Exposure hazards : combustion of this substance generates toxic gases (CO, HBr)
Special protective equipment : Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : wear a respirator with filter cartridge type A2B2E2K2, wear protective gloves made of rubber (Neoprene), wear safety goggles and check that an emergency eyewash facility is available near the handling zone.
Wear apron, protective shoes, full protective suit and check that a security shower is available near the handling zone

Environmental precautions : avoid release to the soil and water contamination

Methods for cleaning-up : cover with sand or another not combustible absorbent material, pick up and place into proof containers for disposal

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle in a contained and ventilated place
Transfer by pumping, or under vaccum, or by gravity in a place without ignition source (including static charges)
Avoid contact with skin or eyes, do not breathe vapour

Storage : Store in tightly closed containers in a cool and dry place
