Description of key information

Di-2 -EHTDG is readily biodegradable (78% after 28 days, 10 d window met)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

In an experimental laboratory test conducted by Mead (2008), Di-2-EHTDG was tested for its ready biodegradability in water in a 28d CO2 evolution test in accordance with OECD guideline 301B. The test resulted in a final degradation rate of 78% based on DOC removal and the 10d window criterion was met. Thus, the test item is characterized as readily biodegradable.
