First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Call a physician if symptoms develop or persist.
Skin contact: Wash off with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Eye contact: Flush eyes with water as a precaution. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Ingestion: If ingestion of a large amount does occur, seek medical attention. Rinse mouth with water.
General advice: No hazards which require special first aid measures.

Fire-fighting measures

Unusual fire & explosion hazards: None known.
Specific hazards: Not a fire hazard. The product itself does not burn. Material can be slippery when wet.
Fire fighting equipment/instructions: Use any media suitable for the surrounding fires.

Accidental release measures

Containment procedures: Avoid allowing water runoff to contact spilled material since contaminated surfaces will be extremely slippery.
If sweeping of a contaminated area is necessary use a dust suppressant agent which does not react with the product.
Personal precautions: Keep unnecessary personnel away. Avoid inhalation of dust from the spilled material. Wear a dust mask if dust is generated above nuisance dust exposure limits.
Environmental precautions: Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained. Do not flush into surface water. Do not letproduct enter drains. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
Methods for cleaning up: Sweep up or gather material and place in appropriate container for disposal. Collect dust or particulates using a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter. Avoid dust formation. After removal flush contaminated area thoroughly with water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Normal work wear is suitable. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep formation of airborne dusts to a minimum. Do not breathe dust. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear a suitable dust mask to reduce inhalation below the WEL for nuisance dust.
Storage: Material should be kept in dry conditions at ambient temperature and pressure. Keep container tightly closed to avoid ingress of moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection

United Kingdom Occupational exposure limits: Nuisance Particulates TWA 4 mg/m3 Respirable dust 10 mg/m3 Inhalable dust.
Engineering measures toreduce exposure:Ventilation should be sufficient to effectively remove and prevent buildup of dust
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection: If airborne concentrations are above the applicable exposure limits, use NIOSH approved respiratory protection.
Hand protection: PVC or other plastic material gloves.
Eye protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields.
Skin and body protection: Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirts and long pants) is recommended.
Hygiene measures: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions of use.
No known hazardous reaction / decomposition products.

Disposal considerations

Dispose in accordance with all applicable National regulations.
Contaminated packaging: Empty containers can be landfilled, when in accordance with the local regulations.
