Description of key information

The relative density was found to be 2.37 at 22 deg C using a gas comparison pycnometer method, in line with Method A3 (EC) No 440/2008

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The relative density of this substance was measured by the recommended OECD method and found to be 2.37 at 22 deg C. This is the true density of the substance but more often the bulk density is of more relevance in the market place and this is generally between 700 to 1300 kg/m3. Bulk density is influenced by the particle size distribution of the powder as sold and the mode of packing. It is an important measure of relevance to bulk transport and silo size etc.
