Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

DSC and ARC testing and the UN test series for transport.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Based on the DSC and ARC testing, the exothermic decomposition energy of the substance (-237.8 J/g) is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition (340.1 deg. C) is below 500 °C. In addition, the substance has been tested for transport. The explosion hazard tests (UN test series) were conducted for the transport classification and the substance was approved as a new self-reactive material. The studies conducted for transport have been used for this endpoint as the weight of evidence. Overall conclusion; non explosive material.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Non-explosive material based on the thermal stability (exothermic decomposition and decomposition energy) and the series of the UN tests conducted for explosivity testing for transport.
