Description of key information
No adsorption / desportion data are avaiable for the reaction product; however, there are measurements of adsorption / desorption for the primary constituent (linear alkylbenzenesulfonate - LAS). The Kp for commercial LAS was 2,500 L/kg, with a log Kp of 3.4 in activated sludge batch experiments. Both of the substances that comprise the reaction product (i.e., the sodium LAS and the sodium toluene sulphonate) are soluble in water, are not volatile, are not bioaccumulative, and are readily biodegradable. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, this test is not required.
