The estimated auto-ignition temperature was 400 °C.


 


MAIN STUDY:


Ignition of the test substance within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume and with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was <20 °C. According to the guidelines, no further testing was required.


The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 383 °C. This temperature was rounded off to the nearest multiple of 5 °C giving an auto-ignition temperature of the test substance of 380 °C.

The substance has an auto-ignition temperature of 380 °C at 986.8 - 1035.9 hPa.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition of the test substance was determined in a study in accordance with EU Method A.15 and in compliance with GLP criteria. In this study, the auto-ignition temperature was determined in three tests with varying test volumes (test 1: 70 - 120 µL; test 2: 140 - 225 µL and test 3: 150 - 300 µL). Ignition of the test substance within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume. The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 383 °C. This temperature was rounded off to the nearest multiple of 5 °C giving an auto-ignition temperature of the test substance of 380 °C.
