Measurement was attempted by placing a small capped glass vial about half full of sample liquid into a refrigerated cold bath . This was a 4 mL vial containing approximately 2 mL of sample liquid. The refrigerated bath was a Julabo Model F83 filled with 3M Novec 7500 bath fluid. The F83 bath can go down to -75 deg C. The sample was held at this temperature for at least 1 hour, probably several hours, but did not freeze, so freezing point or melting point could not be determined by this method.
