Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Considering the calculated bioaccumulation estimates (EPISUITE, v4.10) of BCF = 104.4 L/kg regression-based method, wet-wt , BCF = 1.894 (Arnot-Gobas method, upper trophic), BAF = 67.45 (Arnot-Gobas method, upper trophic) and the estimated Log Kow of 10.08 and the readily biodegradability, which makes exposure of the aquatic compartment unlikely, and no toxicity to fish (EC50 >100 mg/L), no bioaccumulation is expected. Sedimental and terrestrial bioaccumulation is considered to be not relevant as the substance is readily biodegradable.

In addition, based on current knowledge, a calculated log Kow of 10 or above is taken as an indicator of reduced bioconcentration. (Chapter R.7C-Endpoint Specific Guidance; R7.10.3.4)

Based on all relevant data available for the assessment of the bioaccumulation potential, it can be concluded that Fatty acids, C16 -18 and C18 -unsatd., isooctyl esters, epoxidized has low potential for bioaccumulation and biomagnification via the food chain.
