Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

Migrated from Short description of key information:
N-butylpyridinium heptachlorodialuminate does not meet the criteria to be considered a contact sensitizer under the conditions tested. The results of the 2-Hexylcinnamaldehyde historical control study demonstrated that a valid test was performed and indicated that the test design would detect potential contact sensitizers.

Justification for selection of skin sensitisation endpoint:
This study was performed according to GLP and the methods applied are fully compliant with OECD TG 406.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no study available
Additional information:

For this endpoint a GLP compliant study that was performed using the standard method as described in OECD TG 406 is available. In this study, N-butylpyridinium heptachlorodialuminate does not meet the criteria to be considered as a contact sensitizer.
